About Brick and Barrel Cross Keys

Brick & Barrel is a casual full-service restaurant that provides diners in the Fox Chapel area with a casual celebratory experience and features a menu based on burgers, specialty pizzas, entrees and appetizers all cooked in a brick oven paired with a deep selection of bourbons and craft beers. Brick & Barrel was developed by a local businessman with over 30 years of restaurant experience.

Located at 599 Dorseyville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15238, Brick and Barrel Cross Keys operates as a restaurant serving Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bar, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Because this group is broad, recent reviews and photos are a better guide than the category alone. Most kitchens in Pittsburgh will adjust a dish for common dietary needs such as vegetarian or gluten-free if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: bars open late and cafes close early. Happy-hour pizza deals are common at bars across Pennsylvania on weekday afternoons, and many casual restaurants take reservations online through third-party platforms while fast-food spots are walk-in only.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 12–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (412) 406-8351. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is thebricknbarrel.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 616 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Truly a hidden gem. Fabulous staff and food. There was a wait but the staff was attentive and communicative. The crab cakes were so fresh and the sauce on the pizza was the best! We will be back.

Drove past Brick & Barrel many times and never stoppedβ€”so glad we finally did. It’s a charming spot, and we were happy to see they were open for lunch. The pizza was outstanding, and my mom loved her burger (it was so generous she could hardly make a dent in it). One recommendation: the duck fat fries are an absolute must!

Tucked away far enough to be slightly obscured and mysterious but easy enough to get to be your place you come back to again and again. The bar is an encyclopedia of options, some seasonal, some obscure. The tap list is deep enough but could use more depth or range. The menu is sturdy, something for everyone. Go for the decor and history, savor a sip on the porch or back patio, stay for a meal that even the ghosts of the Inn would enjoy. We will be back.

A great meal at good value. I didn’t not enjoy the fig Old fashion as much as I thought would. All the apps were fantastic. The chicken and mashed potatoes was great.

Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. Waited a few mins to be seated but they were not super busy. Since it was good weather we sat on the patio, which is a lovely space. We ordered some beers and shared a few items off the menu - Roman wedge, Fondue burger, and the brussel sprouts with bacon and onion. Salad was tasty and had lots of toppings. Burger came out under done but still edible, lots of cheese and a little bacon. Brussels were tasty. Also fyi dogs are not allowed here even on the patio!
